Mr. KaziMd. Salahuddin was elected as the South Asian Football Federation(SAFF) President for the third term in a row. Mr. Salahuddin, who is also the incumbent President of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) was elected unopposed with three other Vice Presidents to run the South Asia’s regional football association for the next four years.
The SAFF elective congress took place at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka, Bangladesh on 11 April 2018with presence of delegates from all SAFF member associations.
Before election, the SAFF Executive Committee convened in a meeting with its President Mr. KaziSalahuddin in the chair.The meeting approved financial statement and activities reportfor the years 2014 – 2017. Besides, audited accounts for the years 2014, 2015, 2016 and provisional accounts for 2017 including the budget for 2018gotEC approval.

Apart from delegates of the SAFF member associations, President, Korea FA and FIFA Council Member Mr. MongGyu Chung also joined the congress as observer. Delegates from other football associations who have attended the congress as observers were USA, Sri Lanka, Morocco, Seychelles and Mexico.
